Ecology Director / Principal Ecologist

Principal/Senior Landscape Architect

Studio Bosk is looking for a Ecology Director / Principal Ecologist to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to build and lead an ecology team within an established landscape architecture studio.

We work on diverse projects, from urban regeneration and public realm schemes to residential and rural landscapes, with a strong focus on sustainability, biodiversity, and place-specific design.

The Role Offers:

We’re Looking For:
✔ A passionate ecologist eager to drive forward nature-led design
✔ Experience in ecological assessment and protected species surveys.
✔ In-depth technical knowledge of UK habitats, species, and legislation
✔ Experience in impact assessments, and biodiversity strategies
✔ Leadership & team development experience
✔ Background in work winning & client development
✔ Understanding of the strategic ecological requirements within the broader environmental and planning sectors
✔ A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset

Studio Bosk is looking for a Principal/Senior Landscape Architect to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to become an integral part of a growing team working on a wide and diverse range of projects within an established landscape architecture studio.
 

We work on diverse projects, from urban regeneration and public realm schemes to residential and rural landscapes, with a strong focus on sustainability, biodiversity, and place-specific design.

The Role Offers:
✔ Lead the design and development of landscape architecture projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and site requirements.
✔ Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to create innovative designs that incorporate climate-resilience, and great biodiversity throughout.
✔ Utilise design software including Sketchup, AutoCAD, and the Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality work. Experience in Revit would be an advantage.
✔ Manage teams, project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively while maintaining open communication with the directors.
✔ Oversee the construction process, providing guidance to contractors and ensuring that the final build aligns with the proposed designs.
✔ Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to continuously enhance design practices.

We’re Looking For:
✔ A Postgrad degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field is essential.
✔ Proven team-leading experience in landscape architecture with a strong portfolio showcasing previous projects.
✔ Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
✔ Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
✔ A creative mindset with attention to detail and a passion for sustainable and ethical design practices.
